Are there any up coming bike races/festival coming up in the bay area / tahoe? Also which ones has anyone gone to and recommend?

there's a cyclocross series (informal, of course) run by the DFL club with a few races in golden gate park.
i have no idea of how to get any information about it.
your best recourse would be to ask a bike shop whose employees seem to be in the know about these things. also, check the sea otter classic's site for links. -

Mon, September 18, 2006 - 3:22 PMI am not planning on racing but I would like to go see. I am new to mountain biking and having a great time. I just thought it would be fun to go to a race or a festival.
