here's the deal.
i don't own a car.
i own an ibis alibi hardtail and a santa cruz superlight instead.
almost all of my old riding buddies have fled san francisco for oakland.
i really don't like riding by myself, especially after dark. my girlfriend broke her collarbone the fourth time she went out with me, so she's very reluctant to ride off road nowadays.
who wants to do some rides in golden gate park after work on weekdays? and maybe a run or two to the headlands? you'd better be 4-20 friendly, that's for sure and you'd better be ready to ride with a man who hasn't been putting out intense efforts in a while. even though i raced four seasons at the beginner/sport level, i am not ready to hammer to high heaven until my body becomes used to this kind of abuse again, if it ever will.
i have a full on set of lights for night rides, as well. back in the day, me and my boys didn't fuck around and we would hit the trail during all four seasons, night and day.
those days are over.
i'm not a complete slug however, i still commute a half hour each way to work day in and day out. i just miss the thrill of off road riding and the camraderie that comes along with riding with like minded individuals.
fi you're interested, PM me or post in this thread. i'm usually home from work by five thirty-quarter to six and ready to ride by six fifteen.
that's GOLDEN GATE PARK, kids, or THE HEADLANDS. i'm not even going to think about barting my bikes to the east bay. oh, don't forget the part about 4-20 FRIENDLY, too.
thanks for reading my post.
